Cleveland Ohio fashion - street style

Cleveland Fashion Blogger - Asos - NastyGal - Zara

NastyGal Statement Necklace - Laka Collar Body Chain

Rusts, browns, mauves...all the muted tones. But of course, I wanna talk accessories...
It's all in the details. I believe that accessories make the outfit. They take you from plain Jane to polished. Ok, maybe not polished...they won't iron your wrinkled clothes or remove cat fur for you...but they add a level of uniqueness, style and completeness to your look.

The quality of the accessories are also something to consider and a big factor. It's the most important part of your look. You can be wearing a t-shirt or even a trash bag for that matter, paired with a great necklace and killer shoes? Boom! You're good to go & can pull anything off. And guys, I'm not saying to go off and buy expensive designer brands, that's definitely not the case. Go for quality designed items that will last.

PS: And i know you're asking, "hey what's up with the flowers growing out of your body?"
Well, I'm a little salty I haven't gotten to wear a floral crown this week so I'm trying to do my best to get by....which means adding floral illustrations to anything that I can. Hopefully another fresh flower DIY will be in the works ; )

Sequin skirt and t-shirt

Ok ok, so generally we like to think sparkly clothing as dressy items...but that's so limiting, isn't it?! Tis a shame because every day can be a party. Let's start mixing it up! Pairing this glam sequin skirt,  { hello thigh high slit! ; ) } with this oversized tee is an instant Spring and Summer favorite for me. Mixing party wear and casual wear creates such an interesting look! The skirt dresses up the top and the top dresses down the skirt...it all balances out. Perfect for a dinner out or running around town. Don't forget to pair this look with cute heels! I love the color blocking on these...nude, tan and a gold heel!

Akron Ohio Fashion - Stripes & Colorblocking

Choies Veil Beanie - Zero UV - Banyan Tree Cleveland

Fringe & Colorblock Bag

Sheik Shoes Woodgrain Ankle Boots

Nastygal Asymmetrical Stripe Skirt
This was such a fun look to put together. I love the "harsh" graphic black and white stripes with the mix of warm tan colors. Also the color blocking of the cropped top, hat and cape added unique interest to this outfit. Lots and Lots of blocking going on. Overall it's such a cool mix of sections of color and line. (Please don't mind all this designer talk coming out of me) AND, can you PLEASE check out THOSE SHOES! Oh my, I love these woodgrain ankle boots! They are a great way to add a neutral pattern to an outfit.

Nastygal oversized sweater - geometric & sequin

Grunge & Tulle - Ohio fashion
There's no doubt, I like to play dress up. I'd define my style as bold eclectic...you never know what I'm going to wear next. It can range from vintage, grunge, to glam. I love the challenge of exploration and attempting to "pull off" a look.
More on the outfit, I adore the tulle skirt trend. You can dress it up...or dress it down like I did here. The sweater is so inspiring, a mix of shapes and textures. I can't wait to incorporate this style into some of my designs.

BonLook Ambassador La Marquise - Akron Ohio Fashion
Hey new red hair! Time to fully transition to fall and what better way then to switch up the hair color? I'm having so much fun pairing it's brightness with different colors of clothing. The pattern of this dress from ASOS is fabulous, not a big fan of the swing fit but hey, I gave it a fair shot. My glasses are of course from Bonlook, the La Marquise. All 4 pairs of my glasses are from Bonlook. Great prices and high style. The metallic pink pumps are from NastyGal. They have their new, very own shoe line, Shoe Cult. I grabbed them during a flash sale for only $25! Last but not least, the necklace is from my line (AC Design)...get it on Etsy or on my site!

MY CLOSET: 80's Prom Bomb Color Blocking

Akron Ohio fashion - prom bomb

color blocking

nastygal sunglasses - vintage 80's prom bomb dress

color blocking pastels - shag jacket
Oh my holy 80's prom bomb dress!
I enjoy playing dress up. No doubt, you'll always find me in extremely different styles from day to day. I find it to be an interesting social experiment, you can become "whoever" you want to be. It can be a glimpse into times past. It can teach lessons on how we perceive one another. It truly is an art.

I always wanted to wear these extravagant dresses when I was little. My dreams have finally come true. Not gonna lie, I felt a *little* silly wearing this outfit for this shoot...but looking at the pics, I LOVE IT!
I used color-blocking to add a trending touch to it. The dress is from American Caner Society Discovery Shop in Lyndhurst. Soooo glad I found it...and at a great price. Prancing around in it from time to time will be a must do!
